The UnReel Take:

Bottom Line: This movie is the epitome of '“less is more.” It doesn’t give you much, and there are no jump scares. But what it does give you is atmosphere; and that combined with the soundtrack, setting, and uncertainty, the creepiness slowly begins to seep under your skin. This is best viewed in the dead of night, with no distractions. If you watch during the day and only give half attention, you aren’t likely to get much from it.

UnReel AR: 7.9

UnReel Category: Dark Horror - One of those movies where it doesn’t really end well for all involved.

Food Pairing: We suggest forgoing the meal, and instead going straight to the sweets. Much of the movie takes place after dinner time, and given the time of year in the movie, we think Gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, and or divinity would go nicely with your viewing experience.

Drink Pairing: The film gives off a cold, dark, and isolated vibe. What acts as a great blanket in those kinds of scenarios? Hot chocolate and Rumple Minz (or peppermint schnapps). It compliments the movie and atmosphere perfectly.
