Bottom Line: If you are a fan of horror, and you haven’t been watching any foreign horror movies, you are doing yourself a disservice. This one hails from Mexico, and is a solid horror entry. As the name would suggest, if you have an aversion with anything to do with bones, or people cracking their joints, this will be a difficult movie for you. Overall, this is a solid horror movie watching experience, with plenty of jumps and recoils. But if you are anything like us, the ending may leave you scratching your head.

UnReel Category: Body Horror - There is a supernatural element to this movie, for sure. However, that element did not take top spot for causing the most shivers, gasps, and ahhs.

Food Pairing: Any bone based food. Go for ribs, bone-in wings, rack of lamb. Make sure you eat it off the bone to get the full experience, and to transport you into the film’s setting and atmosphere.

Drink Pairing: You’re going to want to get a Paloma, but not a tequila Paloma, a mezcal Paloma. The smokiness of the mezcal pairs great with the tartness of the grapefruit, and also with the atmosphere of the movie.
