The UnReel Take:
Bottom Line: If you are a fan of documentaries, and don’t mind watching a documentary style movie about a fictitious event, then you will probably like this one. It is an interesting story about odd disappearances. We thought there was some missed opportunity to make it a little more interesting, but by and large it wasn’t bad. The actors were believable which isn’t always the case in this genre. A word of warning, if you are expecting a sinister story, this isn’t it; more mysterious than anything.
UnReel AR: 5.8
UnReel Category: Found Footage - but really, it’s more mockumentary than anything. We went with found footage because it lands in a lot of found footage lists, in that there is some “found footage” in the movie, but the whole story is framed as a documentary.
Food Pairing: This is a tough one. Can’t really think of a good meal for this one, instead, try some classic movie snacks, like popcorn, chips, maybe some candy.
Drink Pairing: Similarly, pretty much anything you drink will likely be fine for this one. I’d probably go with some Sam Adam Boston Lager. A just fine beer for an OK movie.
