Bottom Line: This film starts off as you would expect, the astronauts of Explorer are conducting routine maintenance on Hubble. Don’t be deceived though, the action starts extremely quickly, leaving the astronauts in a fight for survival. The film continues with waves of thrilling action followed by lulls of mundane subplot. This process of storytelling is so anxiety inducing it almost leaves you physically exhausted after watching, like you were in that astronaut’s suit the whole time. Despite the character development leaving a little to be desired, it is overall worth the watch, just not on a night you want to zone out and relax.

UnReel Category: AdventureFi - This is more adventure/suspense/thriller than sci-fi, I would think you need to be an actual astronaut to pull out the fiction in this one!

Food Pairing: This is dealers choice, go full immersion and pull out your astronauts ice cream you’ve been saving since you were 10. If you for some reason don’t have that, any ice cream should do the trick. Alternatively, cook up some Creole cuisine, as you’ll find it relates to stories in the film.

Drink Pairing: Find that vodka you’ve stashed under your couch or freezer, and drink it straight like a cosmonaut. If you can’t stomach that, mix it up however you please.
