Bottom Line: This is where the purpose of this site really becomes clear. If we were to only rate the movie, this rating may have been lower. But we aren’t just rating the movie, we are rating the overall experience. And this movie certainly delivers a fun experience. I mean, the moon falling? Oceans rising, mountains being sucked into space? That’s all very entertaining. Sure, maybe the science doesn’t add up, it’s far fetched (hopefully), etc…but if all of this was based in reality, it wouldn’t nearly be as fun. That said, one of the themes of this movie does seem to be inching closer to reality…maybe just ignore that one.

Food Pairing: Ever had dehydrated food? Just Kidding, while there is a time and a place for that, it isn’t with this movie. But spaghetti and meatballs does work with this movie. The meatballs are like tiny moons. And the noodles are like, well, you’ll see.

Drink Pairing: This movie needs something not too strong, but also not too weak. The perfect marriage? A bourbon barrel stout beer. If you can find it, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel is very good. If not, you should be able to find Goose Island Bourbon County beer. It is also dark enough to resemble space, an extra bonus to enhance the atmosphere!
