The UnReel Take:

Bottom Line: After I got reacquainted with the style of narration, it was actually a pretty good continuation of the first movie. It gave some darker story lines which earned the movie a different category than it’s predecessor (but is still more or less family friendly). It also gives some fresh takes on classic Sherlock characters and enemies. Overall…I actually thought it was a bit better than the first.

UnReel AR: 6.9

UnReel Category: Crime Time - We thought there was enough intrigue, crime, and investigative elements to earn this category. Still safe for families overall, though there might be a scene or two you tell the younger ones to cover their eyes.

Food Pairing: Fish and chips just fits for this movie. If you help it though, skip the cod and find some haddock (I’ll wait for your thank you). As an added bonus, top it off with some coffee cake. It’s a wonderful combo for your mouth.

Drink Pairing: Dark and Tan - equal parts Bass Ale (bottom layer) and Guinness Stout (top layer). If you’ve never had one, you are in for a treat…most likely.
