The UnReel Take:

Bottom Line: This movie doesn’t know what it wants to be. It struggles between a serious undertone and a comedic delivery. The adult cast delivers great dialogue, however the teen and under dialogue falls flat. Even so, the acting is pretty enjoyable with a very notable cast. We especially thoroughly enjoyed Willem DaFoe’s contributions!

UnReel AR: 5.0

UnReel Category: Comedic Fantasy - watch this movie with your teenage family. Or, if your adult friends behave like teenagers, that should work too.

Food Pairing: Traditional movie fare would be best with this one. And by that we mean PIZZA.

Drink Pairing: For the adults - Red Wine - something on the lighter side like a Pinot Noir or Merlot. For the kids, a Shirley Temple or Roy Rogers. C’mon, you’re watching a vampire movie.
