Bottom Line: It was bound to happen eventually. A horror movie based during the prime of COVID quarantines and lockdowns. As such, watching this in 2023, you will still find yourself saying “too soon,” or twitching at something that gives you Covid PTSD. Overall, this is a solid horror movie, with a very deranged story. Plenty of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat.

UnReel Category: Slasher - while this fits the classic slasher motif, it is also 100% a chick flick - a movie in which the girl(s) kicks some ass. Just watch, you’ll see why

Food Pairing: Sloppy Joe’s or chopped beef sandwiches. I don’t know, I suppose it is the setting, out in the middle of nowhere, just seemed right.

Drink Pairing: A hazy IPA will wash this movie down nicely. Its what we drank for most of Covid, and it didn’t do us wrong for this covid-centric movie.
